Go Green at Your Library!
2010 Summer Reading Club
June 21 - August 7 (August 14 for Adults)
It's time to sign up for Springfield City Library's Summer Reading Club and take advantage of all the library offers, for free. This year's theme, “Go Green at Your Library!” is timely indeed, since Springfield was recently named a “green community.” It's appropriate to borrow instead of buy, saving money and trees! Signing up is simple -- just stop in to any of our library branches and fill out a registration sheet. For more information on our three clubs, click here:

Secret World of Bubbles!
Sixteen Acres, Thursday, August 5, 2 pm
Imagine the look on your child's face when they see bubbles “as big as a rainbow colored bathtub wobbling 10-feet off the ground with a liquid-skin thinner than the wavelength of light!” Bring them, and your camera, to see Keith Michael Johnson. The talented Mr. Johnson and his bubbles will have everyone in the room mesmerized and mystified! It's part great science and also awesome art. Funding for this program was provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Springfield Library. For additional information please call Jean Canosa Albano at 263-6828, x 291.
